15. The Lanchester Grand Circus – Dandelion the Lion marionette

Object Details:

Dandelion the Lion was an early addition to the Grand Circus and was made by Waldo Lanchester. His head was first modelled in clay and then cast in plastic wood from a mould, with the body carved in lime wood. The figure also features articulated, moving eyes, adding to his character on stage.
