12. Lanchester’s Dog marionette

Object Details:

One of Waldo Lanchester’s earlier marionettes following his departure from the London Marionette Theatre, the dog appeared in a variety of performances before becoming part of the Grand Circus. Known for its playful character, the marionette was especially remembered for a comic moment in which it mischievously lifted its leg against one of the stilt walkers.
