17. The Lanchester Grand Circus – Penguin marionettes

The penguins were among the earliest marionettes created by Werner Jackson for Waldo Lanchester’s Grand Circus. Designed as part of the original ensemble, they performed a playful routine using a seesaw, which also featured an illustration of the penguins as part of the design.
