18. The Lanchester Grand Circus – Ringmaster marionette

The Ringmaster from The Grand Circus was not originally created for this role. He was later adapted after Waldo Lanchester donated a significant number of his puppets to Polka Children’s Theatre in Wimbledon. The figure was first carved by Werner Jackson and began his life as Professor Schlookuc, a sealion trainer, before being re‑purposed into the Ringmaster character.
